Playing the picturesque and demanding Ocean Shores Golf and Country Club in northern New South Wales, Tyler, playing off a then scratch handicap produced some spectacular golf to shoot 71 on the par 72 layout to win against a large field, many of whom were senior to his years.
At just 14 years old and now holding an official AGU handicap of +1, this quietly spoken young man with a gentle and caring nature is flying under the radar. Moving through the rankings to secure his current position 100 on Australia’s Official AGU Boys golf rankings.
Setting Tyler loose on a golf course his drive and determination tends to move towards warp speed. This increasing ability to not only play at a high level but to also think his way around a course makes Tyler special.
Tyler’s success is the result of hard work both at school and on the practice fairways.
As the original Goodstart Ambassador, it’s refreshing to see that this remarkable young man has lost none of his gentle nature, love of the game, consideration for others and impeccable manners –
“A Future Champion”
