This tournament was played at The Brisbane Golf Club, Yeerongpilly from 26-29 October 2017, where both Professionals and Amateurs compete against each other.

There are 4 rounds (72 holes) of stroke play. The field starts with 132 players playing one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 50 professionals plus ties for the 50th place, plus any amateurs on the same score after the second round, shall qualify to play rounds 3 and 4. After round 2 was completed, and the cut finalised, 63 player’s went on to contest for first place. Congratulations goes to Michael Sims from Western Australia who was the winning professional with scores of 69, 66, 71 and 69 – total 275.

Goodstart Ambassador, Doug Klein competed as an Amateur in the event. Doug shot rounds of 74, 67, 71 and 67 – total 279. Doug finished his final round with a remarkable -4.  Doug’s Overall Analysis for the 72 holes consisted of 17 birdies, 44 pars, 10 bogies and 1 double-bogey. The final scoreboard read =7th finish Doug Klein (Am) -5 and leading Amateur.
