SEHALLE COUNTRY CLUB WASHINGTON:
Sehalle is a private golf course and country club, located in Sammamish, Washington, a suburb of Seattle. The 27 hole course has tall evergreen trees, primarily Douglas Fir and Red Cedar, lining the narrow fairways. The course has many bunkers and several water hazards. It is a par 72, length 7,003 yards. Kirsty was challenged by the enormous number of trees lining the fairways, however staying focused saw her walk away with rounds of 71, 75, 69 and a second place finish. GREAT RESULT…
NANEA GOLF CLUB:
As a private members course consistently rated among the top 100 USA courses and often best described as golfing heaven was the setting for the 2017 PAC-12 Tournament. Nanea situated amidst the rolling foothills in Kailwa, Kona, Hawaii, a par 73 and length 6,372 yards. Play commenced Monday 23 October with competitors each playing 36 holes followed with Tuesday 24 October playing 18 holes. The first round was a struggle for the girls having to adjust to the speed of the greens as they found them to be a little bit slower than what they have been putting on. In the first round, Kirsty recorded three bogeys against one birdie to finish at 2-over par 75. Improving by two strokes in the second round she recorded two birdies to off-set her two bogeys to finish at even par 73. The two rounds had Kirsty T15th place total 148. No11 University of Colorado women’s golf team tied fourth place after the first 36 holes. The girls were ready to take on the course for day two but was cancelled due to rain and lightning. Congratulations to UCLA for winning the team title with rounds of 284, 280 total 564.
Colorado did themselves proud finishing T5th total 593. Well done girls!!!
Trinity Forest Golf Club
Trinity Forest, a par 72, length 6,372 yard course designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. A classic links-style course on a rolling meadow with tall native grasses and dramatic bunkering and green complexes. Round one had Kirsty card a 76 followed with Round two 74 total 150. The final leaderboard read Kirsty Hodgkins T14th and Colorado T8th. Kirsty, be very proud of your achievements throughout 2017. You have done yourself proud and we at Goodstart commend you for your dedication you have given to your sport throughout the year.
