3rd CONSECUTIVE YEAR AS JUNIOR CHAMPION
Tyler Duncan qualified to play in the Redcliffe Junior Championship 2017 at Redcliffe Golf Club. This is a matchplay event with Quarter and Semi Finals played over 18 holes and the Finals played over 36 holes.
Quarter Final round saw Tyler advance to the Semi Finals with a bye. This was played Sunday 12/11/17. The following Sunday, 19/11/17 was the Semi Final round and with Tyler’s exceptional golf saw him the victor on the day with a 10/8 win against his opponent. The win secured his spot to play the Final on Sunday 26/11/17, which is played over 36 holes.
After the first 18 holes Tyler walked from the 18th green 2up against his opponent. Both players went into the clubhouse and after a bite of lunch headed back out to the 1st tee to take on the second 18 holes. Tyler, staying focused and playing his own game saw him with a 4/3 victory over his opponent. What a mammoth achievement to win this title for the 3rd consecutive year.
